How to prepare photographs for a maintenance enquiry | SERV4U Blog
Take photographs for context as well as detail The most useful maintenance photographs usually come in pairs: one wider image showing where the issue sits, followed by a closer image showing the detail. A simple set of images One wide photograph of the room or elevation One closer photograph of the issue A side view showing access, nearby fittings or obstructions A scale reference where size is difficult to judge Any relevant product, damage or previous repair detail Use good natural light where possible and keep the lens clean. Avoid editing out the surrounding condition; context helps establish the right next step. Add a few words Explain what the image does not show: whether the issue is live, when it started, whether access is restricted and what outcome you want. Photos support a conversation, but they do not replace a site assessment where one is needed. Next step: Attach up to five JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF photographs with your enquiry.
