Door Adjustments, Locks & Ironmongery | SERV4U LTD
A door that catches, a handle that feels loose or a latch that no longer closes neatly can affect an otherwise well kept home. SERV4U helps with minor adjustments, lock work and ironmongery for both internal and external doors, where the door and the required work can be checked and agreed in advance. What we can help with Minor adjustments to existing internal and external doors Attention to hinges, handles and latches Fitting or replacing compatible cylinders and conventional locks after checking the door Refitting or adjusting loose door hardware where practical Small improvements to how a door opens, closes or catches Why we check the door first Doors take regular use, so small changes in how they sit, close or feel at the handle soon become noticeable. Before any work is discussed, SERV4U reviews the visible condition and the relevant hardware. This helps avoid assumptions about compatibility or the wider condition of the opening, and means we can tell you honestly what is likely to work and what may need a different approach. Important scope note This service covers minor work to internal and external doors, hinges, handles, latches, cylinders and conventional locks only. Fire doors are excluded and need separate specialist review. Door replacement, frame alteration, structural movement, security assessment and electrical work are outside this scope. Door condition and hardware compatibility may affect what can be fitted. For external doors, full door replacement is a separate matter and may require Building Regulations compliance and installation by an appropriately registered or competent installer — this is not something SERV4U undertakes. Tell us if the door is communal, shared or has a fire door label. Next step: Tell us which door is affected, whether it is
